Posting quantities and units from payroll into FI/CO
When posting payroll results into FI/CO using report RPCIPE00 (or RPCIPE00_OLD), transferring quantities (NUM field of a wagetype) such as overtime hours is not possible in SAP standard. The log of the report shows the quantities, but they are not posted. The reason given: FI/CO doesn't have the information about the units to be used with the quantities given.
SAP notes 111538, 1074740, and 1492722 describe workarounds for this lack in functionality. Depending on the version of your system you may have to modify standard includes or classes/methods. In these modifications you have to define which results are to be posted as quantities and with which unit. This could be decided e.g. based on the target GL account.
Best practise: you can use this workaround also to post headcount or FTE numbers into FI/CO.
